evPulse uses the information we gather from your vehicle to determine how much energy you use to charge at home. This information is combined with your PG&E electricity rate to estimate your charging costs.
While evPulse strives to provide you information that represents the cost of charging your vehicle at home, the charging costs are an estimate and do not include taxes, fees, discounts or rate riders. For example, if you are participating in another program that impacts your rates, this information will not be reflected in your estimated charging costs. This includes, but is not limited to, participating in a Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) Program, participating in PG&E’s Smart Rate program, participating in PG&E’s Medical Baseline program and participating in PG&E’s CARE and FERA programs. If you are a solar customer with PG&E, your charging costs will include estimated energy charges only. You do not pay for these charges until your annual true up. If you are on an electricity rate that has different prices for different tiers of usage, the cost estimates you see in evPulse will reflect the lowest cost tier.
