Why am I being prompted for a code when I’m connecting my Tesla?

When adding your Tesla, you may be asked for an additional security code. This is usually a result of having 2-Factor Authentication on your account. You can retrieve your temporary security code through a 2-Factor authenticator app on your phone, which can be downloaded from your mobile device’s app store.
